Axpona NYC 2011 Show Coverage

See our show report from the Audio Expo North America show in New York.

We have just returned from this year’s Audio Expo North America show in New York held at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel.

We were helping Larry Denham of TTWeights Audio with the world premiere of the Momentus Duo Supreme turntable. This state-of-the-art turntable can be run either as a direct rim drive or tri-belt drive

Every show has its challenges. The NYC dealer Triode Sound + Vision hosting the room supplied a Soundsmith Strain Gauge phono cartridge/preamplifier system. Unfortunately it required a unique balanced cable to connect it to the system preamplifier. Two RCA connectors on the source end with only the signal pins connected to positive and negative pins of an XLR connector on the destination end. Fortunately we had extra sets of Statement OCC silver XLR and RCA interconnects on hand. So we made a special interconnect cable just for the show!
