Statement Analog XLR Interconnect (OCC Silver) Introduction
The XLR version of the Statement OCC Silver Analog Interconnect cable is now available.
Like its RCA equivalent, the goal with the XLR cable is to provide near state-of-the-art performance at a sane price. By using Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) silver, one gets the warmth/fullness of copper and detail/precision of conventional silver to provide the best of both worlds.
The Statement XLR cable consists of three Teflon insulated solid core OCC silver conductors for positive, negative, and return signals. Each conductor is then inserted in a silk tube. An external polyethylene tube provides structural support and a braided copper shield provides protection against RFI and EMI noise.
| Note: | Many other XLR cables economize by using the shield for the return signal. Often they are using exactly the same cable for their RCA interconnect equivalents, not a cable specifically optimized for high-performance balanced operation. |
